Young! . . . . . but DRIVEN
Julia received her drivers licence just a week ago. Although the driving age in Jamaica is 18, she didn’t let that hinder her from exploring other avenues of being independent., and get a licence at 16!
When asked what motivated her, here was her reply
Well I didn’t like relying on someone to carry me every where.
It’s also going to help mommy because I don’t need her as much for transportation. I can help her with things like groceries or if she is in the middle of something and needs something from the store I can go get it.
Although I don’t have a car I still got it, because I never want to be in a situation where someone offers to lend me their car and I can’t accept.
